THEY ARE LOOKING AT PAYING AROUND 500PD
The main purpose in this role will be to deliver commercial sourcing and procurement initiatives and on-going supply government and risk management support across their business functions.
Undertake contract and supplier management activities and liaising directly with internal stakeholders keeping them informed of the processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Proactively managing new suppliers, services and service extensions in conjunction with business sponsors and other stakeholders to maximise the benefits sought, eg financial, operational, risk mitigation etc. Includes: supplier vetting/pre-qualification, development of business cases/commercial strategy and tactics, commercial and contract negotiations, engagement of appropriate legal, finance and tax expertise;
- Undertaking supplier and contract management activities, including: facilitating the setup and engaging in/providing oversight of supplier governance arrangements; managing contractual processes supplier benchmarking
- Ensuring accurate and up to date of contracts and supplier records are maintained, and commercially sensitive information managed in line with the companies information security standards;
- Maintaining awareness and leveraging commercial opportunities for and with other commercial teams globally;
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed of commercial activities and progress through collaborative working and pro-active communication. Establishing an engagement process
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- In depth procurement skills in medium to large financial or similar organisation, with experience across a range of procurement categories, including: professional service engagements; contingent staff hire; legal services; corporate facilities, marketing and technology;
- Strong team working skills, and ability to operate across teams, cultural and organisational boundaries;
- Ability to multi task and prioritise workload with a strong attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills both written
- Strong negotiation, facilitation and commercial leadership skills to ensure maximum benefit derived from suppliers in fulfilment of the organisations requirements;
- Experience of supplier selection
- Experience of resolving disputes and English contract law concepts and contract term constructs;
- CIPS or equivalent qualification/experience.
