Commercial Analyst (Metering/Utilities)

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Analyst to join one of the largest energy providers within the UK. The role is working within their consumer supply division where the IT & Business Transformation team are developing processes for B2C and B2B metering roll out.

Our Commercial Analyst will work in the workstream where the objective of this team is to ensure consistency between scope, design and investment case. The Commercial Analyst role sits in the Investment Case team and will focus on cost and benefit analysis and validation. The aim of is this function is to ultimately develop a coherent set of costs and benefits to support the Gate C Investment Case. In the short term, focus you will be on providing financial analytical to the procurement process.

Key Deliverables will be:

- Cost templates - refinement and testing of templates for FFR, asset and logistics
- RFP/BAFO cost model development (under the supervision of Lead and Analyst) to appraise RFP response
- Overview of collated RFP responses
- Develop recommendations to support supplier selection

The successful analyst will have demonstrable experienced in providing delivery support to a business analyst and specifically skilled in Financial appraisal techniques of supplier RFP and BAFO responses. You will have an in depth understanding of the relevant "cost footprints" of the Investment Case (FFR, logistics, assets). It would be ideal to have utilities industry experience.
