COMBAT SYSTEMS ENGINEER

MY CLIENT, A LEADING DEFENCE ORGANISATION BASED IN PORTSDOWN, PORTSMOUTH IS URGENTLY SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED COMBAT SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM FOR A MINIMUM OF 6-12 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL FOR EXTENSION. THIS IS A FULL TIME ROLE WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO OTHER CLIENT SITES, THEREFORE A DRIVING LICENCE IS REQUIRED.

COMBAT SYSTEMS DESIGN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Familiar with current combat systems for maritime platforms
- Familiar with current weapon and sensor systems
- Familiar with combat system highways and Legacy data communication protocols
- Up to date with emerging data communications and transport systems.
- Able to extract and capture requirements to support the systems engineering life cycle
- Detailed and comprehensive understanding of the systems engineering CADMID cycle
- The ability to see how to bring together disparate systems from multiple suppliers to create the optimal solution against a set of requirements which may or may not be entirely clear.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Flexible to travel occasionally, must have DL
- Seasoned systems engineer with Naval systems experience
- Previous experience of Proposal writing
- Architectural design
- Front End Systems Engineering experience
- SC Clearance preferable
