MY CLIENT ARE A RETAIL BANK BASED IN EDINBURGH.
SUMMARY
This role is required to support the development of the client's mortgage proposition by:
- Developing policy for Collections and Recovery activity,
- Ensuring alignment with supplier's operational procedures,
- Undertaking analysis to ensure that the Bank is aligned with industry best practice, and
- Benchmarking key financial performance metrics.
The roleholder will be expected to be adaptable to changing requirements as they arise from within the broader Mortgage project. Attendance at Working Group, and other key governance meetings, will be required and effective stakeholder management skills are a core requirement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in the financial services industry ideally having a background in Collections and/or Recoveries and with experience of developing policies.
- Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results.
- Customer focused with strong awareness of Conduct Risk issues in a debt management environment.
- Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment, eg able to translate complex/technical issues to meet the audience's competency level.
