Cognos Support Analyst - IBM Cognos - UK Leading Insurer - Bournemouth

COGNOS SUPPORT ANALYST - IBM COGNOS - UK LEADING INSURER - BOURNEMOUTH - £500 P.D. - 6 MONTH CONTRACT

An experienced Cognos Support Analyst with a detailed background in Finance Systems is required by one of the UK's leading and fastest growing insurers for a 6 month contract role to be based in Bournemouth.

The Support Analyst will be required to build reports using IBM Cognos multidimensional database and the IBM Clarity 7 Planning and Forecasting system for the Finance Department.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

- BAU Support and Maintenance of the IBM Cognos system; including day-to-day administration, management of accounting support issues, running and monitoring of automated batch processes and dealing with users accounting queries.
- Maintenance of the Clarity FSR (Financial Statement Reporting) relational databases, including liaison with the LV IT DBA team as needed; raising requests for purposes such as enacting accounting data-fixes, requesting data loads or initiating the cloning of Production databases to the UAT environment.
- Liaison with the SBU Database Owners to coordinate the packaging, testing and release of new versions of IBM Cognos FSR (Financial Statement Reporting) in a timely and controlled manner.
- Assist and advise on best-practice reporting design for Clarity FSR (Financial Statement Reporting) objects, in order to ensure a robust and consistent application of reporting techniques across the various reports and reconciliations in the system.

This is an urgent requirement that requires a start within 4 weeks max.
