Job Title: Cognos Framework Modeler

Salary/Rate: $40-52/hour

Location: Houston, TX

We have an immediate need for two Cognos Framework Modelers for a one year contract in Houston. The duration of this contract could be extended.

- Minimum 5 years of experience of hands-on design, development and implementation experience within Cognos 10 BI Tool suite
- At least 3 years of experience with developing complex Cognos Framework Manager models 8.4 or higher
- Strong metadata modelling skills utilizing Framework Manager
- Thorough understanding of Cognos Framework Manager, including relational and dimensional modelling techniques
- Strong data modelling, data analysis and data architecture skills and proven proficiency in SQL
- A thorough understanding of the impact Datamodelling approaches (eg,  3NF, Star Schema) have on the durability of models and on performance of Analysis/Reporting
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and work effectively throughout all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision making and communication skills

Responsibilities include:

- Partner with data architects and business power users to design and develop efficient and scalable Framework Manager Models
- Create packages using various data sources in the Framework Manager
- Implement security at Package level, Object level and Data level using Framework Manager
- Create Database, Business, and Presentation Layers defining appropriate relationship between query subjects in Framework Manager
