COGNOS DEVELOPER

My client has a requirement for a Senior Cognos Developer.The Senior Cognos Developer will analyze, design, develop, and support initiatives to deliver Cognos 10 solutions enabling end user reporting capabilities as well as advanced reporting development and data analysis by power users and Business Intelligence analysts.

This position includes platform support, monitoring, capacity and utilization management, application security, end user support, training and documentation,mani duties:

- Providing internal Cognos BI skills and services for new Group Business Intelligence solutions
- Hands on development and implementation of information systems including Retail Store Operations, Sales and Distribution, Supply Chain, and Financials
- Gather report requirements from the end user and interface with the client and multi-disciplinary teams to support the solution delivery process
- Develop and Document technical architecture, system design, and other technical aspects of the implementation
- Provide daily operational support for application and BI infrastructure.

Experience required:

- 5+ years of experience in Cognos BI development with emphasis on business requirements analysis, application design and development.
- Strong experience on Cognos 10 Tools ( Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, and Cognos Connection)
- Experiences with Cognos-BI development in a SAP environment
- Expertise with Cognos Administration and security
- Experience with MS-SQL, Windows Server
- Experience with project management
- Skilled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project and Visio
- Consumer goods experience in Retail and Wholesales
