Cognos Consultant Job

SR. COGNOS CONSULTANT skills needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Washington, D.C.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Cognos Administrator and Development Skills
- Cognos 10 is a MUST

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Candidate needs to be both Cognos admin and developer, will perform server installations (from start to finish - Cognos configuration, upgrades, fresh installations, etc.) but also will do data modelling in Cognos Framework Manager and build reports in Report Studio.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must know Cognos 10 (Cognos 8.4 is not enough at this point).
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server 2012 or higher (at least ability to query data from the databases and troubleshoot data issues).
- Good troubleshooting/QA skills.
- Great customer-facing skills
- Ability to work with different teams (contractors/feds).
- Ability to work independently and deliver without much guidance/documentation from the customer.
- The person needs to be a self-starter.
