Cognos BI Developer

COGNOS BI DEVELOPERS
6months + contract role in Zürich with possibility of extension

We are currently looking for experienced COGNOS BI DEVELOPERS for a very interesting project here in Zürich. For this role, our client is looking for candidates with extensive experience in Data Warehousing, Analytics and Business Intelligence gathered from the Financial Services Industry, specifically banking.

CORE SKILLS/TECHNOLOGIES YOU WILL REQUIRE:

- Minimum of 5 YEARS AS A SENIOR DEVELOPER in all aspects of COGNOS BI 10 onwards

(Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Deployment and Administration) - Experience of building relational and DMR based framework models
- Experience of advanced reporting techniques (conditional blocks, master detail, slicers, prompt macros, conditional formatting)
- Understanding of developing templates and portal skins
- Understanding of the BI security model and applying it to custom authenticated groups
- Extensive experience on reporting heavy projects using OLAP techniques
- Experience of installing and administering a distributed BI environment
- Excellent SQL/ORACLE skills as this forms the backbone of all the Cognos BI solutions
- Operating Systems: good understanding of UNIX, LINUX, & WINDOWS NT/XP platforms.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (BENEFICIAL)

- Knowledge of TM1 REPORTING
- Experience of configuration management around BI
