Cognos 10 BI Developer/Reporting

How would you like to work for ONE OF THE LARGEST COMPANIES ON THE PLANET THAT ARE GOING THROUGH A SIGNIFICANT EXPANSION PHASE? This historically hugely successful company are now looking for a Cognos BI developer ON A POTENTIALLY LONG-TERM BASIS.

You must have considerable experience of creating Cognos BI reports, some of which should have been gained in A BANKING/FINANCIAL SERVICES ENVIRONMENT.

The role will involve:

DESIGNING, CREATING AND ENHANCING COGNOS BI REPORTS

Production support of Cognos issues

Training and supporting Cognos users on basic usage of Cognos Connection, Business Insight Advanced, etc

Database querying to resolve reporting issues

An understanding of data quality and data quality issues

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and attributes:

VERY STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF REPORTING AND ANALYTICS USING COGNOS 10

ABILITY TO QUERY IN PL/SQL AND/OR SQL SERVER DATABASES

Some business analysis skills eg gathering user requirements, specification scoping, etc

A good knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager

A BANKING OR FINANCIAL SERVICES BACKGROUND WOULD BE PREFERRED BUT IF YOU HAVE WORKED FOR IBM OR ANOTHER COGNOS VENDOR AND WORKED ON-SITE OR WITH SUCH ORGANISATIONS THAT WILL SUFFICE.
