Cobol Developer

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a Cobol Developer to work in Brussels.

What can you expect?

The analyst-developer will work within an Agile scrum team, which is a small multi-functional team.

Scope of the team: Applications : Contract Administration system (LIF & Context verzekeringen) Unisys Mainframe or local windows application Cobol/Microsoft Cobol/Visual Studio/C# Employment at Diegem site (or at the Brussels Midi site in the near future)

Start date: ASAP Duration: 12 months (with opportunity for prolongation)

Your tasks

With the team you will

give advice & input with regard to high level scope, solution direction, architectural choices for one of our core applications within the Life-domain

estimate the size and complexity of the deliverables

define, build & test the solutions cfr. client needs & expectations

keep the required documentation up to date give the necessary support for the implementation of the application in de different environments

handle incidents and problems CRITERIA

Requirements

At least a Bachelor degree in informatics or equivalent experience

Experience within the financial or insurance sector is an advantage

An Agile mindset (work experience within a scrum team is an advantage)

An excellent command of Dutch, French and English. At least DUTCH IS MANDATORY.

Proven experience with Cobol in a Mainframe environment.

Experience with Unisys Mainframe (DMS2, Cobol, Microfocus Cobol, Sure, WFL) is an advantage
