Cobol Developer

Our direct Fortune 500 client is looking for 2 Cobol Developers for 6-month renewable contracts at their Macon, GA location.

Responsibilities include:
Providing production support on exiting systems.
Performing analysis, writing program maintenance documentation, coding changes, unit test changes, setup and monitor Integration testing.
Meeting with user community as required to facilitate requirements gathering and documentation of requirements.
Creating and maintaining PROCS, Prose, JCL, etc. as required.
Attending team meetings, produces status reports, updates and maintains assignments in issue tracking database (JIRA).
Following SDLC.

Required:
- 5+ years strong CICS, DB2, Cobol, and JCL technical skills.
- Solid experience with related development tools including ENDEVOR and TSO.
- Strong analysis skills for problem solving as well as for creation of project artifacts.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the project and software development life cycle, from inception to implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to learn and understand new business systems and detailed business processes.

Plusses:
.NET and SQL Server skills are a plus.
