Cobol Analyst

The required skill sets needed include:
1. Advanced experience in MicroFocus Cobol development. Five years experience preferred.
2. Advanced experience using XGEN 4GL Cobol code generator. Five years experience preferred.
3. Experience with SQL Server databases including 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2012.
4. Good communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
5. Ability to work well with business analysts, application developers, and system administrators.
6. Ability to adhere to established procedures for configuration management and change control approvals.
7. Two or more years experience is preferred in Autosys batch cycle scheduling.
8. Two or more years experience is preferred in .NET development.
9. Two or more years experience is preferred in ClearCase for code versioning.
10. Windows Command script proficiency is preferred.

General Responsibilities:
Activities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Assist with maintenance and operations support, including batch cycle support for existing XGEN/MicroFocus Cobol applications in a midrange environment.
2. Assist with creation of testing scripts and testing of applications.
3. Assist with development of application deployment plans.
4. Assist with monitoring, management and troubleshooting of FTP interface processes.
5. Assist with necessary conversions of databases from SQL 2000 or later to SQL 2012.

Deliverables Required:
Weekly status and time reports as required by the manager
Technical documentation as required by the manager
