Manufacturing Technician/CNC Programmer/CNC Operator

Location: Birmingham

Rate: £14 - £18 per hour plus shift uplift

Contract Length: 6 months

Shifts: 3 shift pattern - 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am

The Company:

A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The Role:

As a manufacturing technician you will be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC Spark Eroder or Wire Eroder machines to produce aerospace components in a high precision environment. Initially responsibilities would focus around manufacture of Valve & Bearing components.

The Manufacturing Technician may also be involved in deburring and inspection operations for complex machined components.

Candidate:

As a manufacturing technician you will have experience of programming, setting and operating CNC Spark Eroders or Wire Eroders (EDM, Charmilles, Fanuc and Bridgeports) and be capable of reading manufacturing/assembly drawings. Ideally you will have a manufacturing apprenticeship, but candidates with relevant experience and other similar qualifications will also be strongly considered.

As this is a shift based position, you must be willing to work flexible shift patterns.

Technical: CNC Spark Eroder, CNC Wire Eroder, Deburring, CNC operator, and Manufacturing Technician

Commutable: Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Wolverhampton, and West Midlands.
