CNC Machinist/Programmer Job

CNC MACHINIST/PROGRAMMER is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in GREENSBORO, NC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Machining position performs precision machining operations to product parts by programming, setting up, establishing process and producing fixtures using mills and lathes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Sets-up operates and programs various CNC/manual machines including multi axis Turning Centers, 3-5 Axis Machining Centers.
- Creates and runs programs on Hurco multi axis lathes and machining centers up to 5 axis.
- Inspects and verifies parts by using precision gages including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gages.
- Uses various hand tools, grinders, saws, and other machines to prepare parts.
- Documents inspection results on appropriate paperwork and insure parts meet tolerance and specifications.
- Reproduces parts by measuring, sketching, drawing, and selecting appropriate processes and materials.
- Selects proper tooling, edits programs and adjusts speeds and feeds as required.
- Works with production, engineering, and quality to resolve issues.
- Maintains equipment and perform required PM's to insure proper operation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Five (5) years experience in equivalent position preferred.
- Formal Journeyman, Apprentice, training, or schooling preferred.
- Machining experience including manual and CNC Multi Axis lathes, 3-5 axis mills (Hurco).
- Ability to work in fast paced R&D environment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment by following procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision.
- CAD/CAM experience (Gibbscam preferred).
- Experience with model based machining, in a CATIA environment.
- WaterJet machine/software Flowjet experience preferred.
- This is a twelve (12) month contract, paying between $23 - $27 per hour.
