As a CMDB Analyst, you will need to have hands-on, extensive experience with CMDB (Configuration Management Database) design, management and configuration along with technical proficiency in SCCM. You will need to possess a solid understanding of data models and relationships and be able to apply business logic to multiple datasets, performing complex analysis to assess the maturity of data management for our client.

In this role, you will work with internal and client teams to identify root-causes, correct identified issues, and recommend process improvements to maintain data integrity. You must be a self-starter who can analyze and solve problems, communicate effectively, and push forward to find solutions when the path is undefined. You will need to possess strong technical skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

The CMDB Analyst will primarily support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Assessment initiative which will result in a maturity assessment and recommendations for improvement of data quality and management to be eligible for process automation. These projects typically involve extensive data analysis to identify exceptions, research and validation of improvement and cost reduction opportunities, and designing procedures for future monitoring. Experience with the ServiceNow tool or similar tool and asset management experience is highly desired.

SKILLS:

- Hands-on, extensive experience with CMDB (Configuration Management Database) design, management and configuration
- Solid understanding of data models and relationships
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in relational database systems (typically MS SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access)
- Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Translate business rules and requirements into data processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with client at all levels and with internal team members
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet established deadlines
- Must be self-driven and take ownership of responsibilities
- Must work well in a team-oriented environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with ServiceNow - familiarity with ServiceNow API and how to use APIs to run database queries highly desired
- Solid understanding of IT Asset Management as a process
- Capacity Management analysis and resolution proposal skill set with previous projects
- Prior experience in a client-facing consulting role
- Prior experience performing data quality assessments
- CMS experience
- ITIL V2 or V3 Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
