Cloud Solution Architect - SaaS Java - Switzerland

Our client, a major international organisation based near Lausanne, Switzerland, is looking for a Solution Architect with experience of Java/J2EE in a Cloud environment to migrate current applications to a Cloud/SaaS solution.

With a solid background in Agile and Scrum development, you will be responsible for delivering technical specifications and reviewing technical design provided by the selected application development vendor. Working closely with the selected solution provider, you will perform stress testing and capacity planning and driving continuous improvement across internal and external teams.

You will also be responsible for managing business risk, assessing the impact of the design on performance, workload and selecting a migration approach from current systems to the new cloud solution.

Experienced in Object Oriented Design, implementing Cloud/SaaS solutions, RESTful API design principles and SOA architecture and Webservices, you will ensure the cloud solution is developed first time with a long term vision for solution integrity, security, scalability, backward compatibility, maintainability and performance.

Previous experience in handling large migrations to Cloud solutions is expected with Java/J2EE or other Object Oriented language development essential, coupled with the ability to manage external vendors and partners essential.
