Cloud Services Architect

My client a leading digital Australian brand requires an experienced Cloud Services Architect to assist the business in moving towards a more Cloud based organisation. Working towards a service capability design model, the role will be responsible for the rapid scan, selection and successful assimilation of cloud-based services and solutions into the client's ecosystem. Furthermore they will provide technical leadership, facilitation and governance of selection and implementation in order to assure the quality of the delivered services meet or exceed the business owner expectations and will operate smoothly for the agreed lifespan of the supplier agreement.

The ideal candidate will be a Services Architect rather than a Solutions Architect, with a vast knowledge of Cloud or Integration Architecture, and be able to work well with Project Managers and assist them in the developing of Project Plans and Business Case/Funding Submissions.

Further responsibilities will include;

- Provide standards and selection criteria for solutions incorporating cloud-based services and/or applications.
- Provide contextual end-to-end architecture to guide orientation, alignment and focus on the operational.
- Confirm and communicate project scope as a set of integrated E2E processes with systems as actors. Ensure that key operational measures and success criteria are clearly aligned to supplier accountabilities.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend solution options and clearly articulate rationale.
- Ensure the business integrity of systems and their information as they are selected/migrated in the cloud. Cover all architecture aspects including security, data privacy, regulatory and legal compliance, service levels, ITSM, ongoing development and release life cycle
- Facilitate design meetings between relevant suppliers in order to assure quality and completeness of the E2E outcome.
- Ensure all aspects of architecture are considered in projects - including migration and future BAU change (eg development architecture, E2E test environments, test data management, penetration testing, security certification, etc.)
- Develop and continually refine cloud integration job-aids, standards, patterns and rapid implementation guides. Drive continuous improvement of them and their supporting tools, techniques through key projects.
- Understanding the enterprise-wide program of work in order to identify and eliminate "silo" or "duplicate" processes and systems and assist with roadmap development to mitigate/optimise.

Key Skills Required

- Successfully performed architecture roles on programs - working well with PMs
- Strong Agile/Iterative experience
- 10+ years in IT -with a bias towards Internet security and/or integration practices
- Experience with the capabilities of integration and cloud technologies & vendors

Preferred:

- Experience in modelling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) and development
- TOGAF Level 2 certification or similar
- CISA (security audit) certification or similar
- ITIL trained
