Cloud Management/Vmware Consultant Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CLOUD MANAGEMENT/VMWARE CONSULTANT to join our client in Dublin, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make significant contributions to the strategic direction of Infrastructure cloud architectures, implementations and business models
- Maintain contacts to remain informed of industry trends; build relationships with peers in industry
- Ability to drive tasks and implementation of strategic, visionary, and customer- focused planned changes with minimal intervention and/or supervision
- Apply advanced and broad levels of technical skills effectively in the design and implementation of infrastructure related projects
- Actively support the successful implementation of the cloud initiative

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the area of IT infrastructure
- 5 years practical experience with Cloud/Virtualization infrastructure
- At least 5 years practical experience with VMware vSphere Suite
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of all major technology areas comprising of the cloud infrastructure (Storage, Networking, Servers, and core software)
- In-depth knowledge of Linux (at least one of the distributions)
- Ability to develop scripts (Shell, Perl)
- Extreme motivation and interest to embrace new technologies and learn new skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly express ideas in written and verbal form effectively
- Comprehensive and effective task and project management
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
- Effective time management
- Able to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Familiarity with other hypervisors such as Citrix Xen Server, Hyper-V or KVM
- Knowledge of OpenStack
- VCP, VCAP or VCDX certifications
- Knowledge of Active Directories
- Experience working on external cloud solutions such as Amazon
