Cloud Hosted Services Business Development Manager

Our client is a recognised leader in the provision and management of specialist IT infrastructure solutions who assist their clients to achieve their business goals. An existing permanent opportunity awaits for a driven BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to be responsible for driving local new business sales initiatives and pipeline activity around Cloud & Hosting Solutions into client accounts.

In this role, you will devise and deliver on a business plan as well as drive local vendor engagement, local territory and opportunity planning. You will need to be well versed in Cloud & Hosting solutions with a credible track record in developing new markets.

FURTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

- New business into both named and non-named accounts around Cloud & Hosting Solutions
- Define local sales strategy and targets for new business
- Proven understanding of Client Stakeholder Business, Technical and Service Drivers at the appropriate level
- Analyse accounts and competitors and identify leverage/differentiation and opportunities
- Develop local business development plan and target opportunity list
- Build relationships with relevant vendor contacts, incorporate partner programmes and build a partner engagement strategy around partner opportunities
- Negotiate and support sales including the completion of tailored proposals
- In conjunction with the Account Manager drive account engagement and manage customer expectations

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

- Substantial sales and business development experience in a green fields environment
- A track record of identifying and closing opportunities within a Cloud & Hosting (or similar) solutions and services environment
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong customer relationships
- Ability to negotiate/influence commercial outcomes
- A team player who can engage and work with account management and technical teams
- Management and development of the IT Outsourcing business.
