Cloud Devops Engineer

My client based in Central Brussels are looking for a Cloud Engineer for an exciting new project.

List of tasks

The main tasks are: - Installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of the unit's internal infrastructure:

Linux virtual machines and cloud instances for development and quality assurance environments; 

Manage and monitor installed systems based on Unix (Tomcat, Oracle, Apache, NGNIX, etc); 

Manage and monitor deployments in preproduction and production environments by liaising Operations Unit and other IT staff to resolve issues; 

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement these fixes as well as provide support and collaboration with the DG's load testing team ITEC;

Participate in the design of information systems and model critical components;

Maintain safety strategies in collaboration with colleagues from DG ITEC; - Transfer of knowledge to the development team; - Write or update the technical documentation.

Qualifications required

The qualifications required for the specified profile are those described in the ITS14 contract for the relevant lot.

- Solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux-based environments (eg Red Hat, Solaris);
- Solid experience in server administration (eg Tomcat, Apache, NGINX);
- Experience in virtualization (eg VMware);
- Experience with continuous integration systems (eg Teamcity); 
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS;
- Experience in administering Oracle databases;
- Network knowledge (TCP/IP);
- Experience with Ansible is a plus; - Experience with Mail Servers (JMS) is a plus
