Cloud Automation Developer

A client of mine are searching for a Cloud Automation Developer to be based in Brussels, Belgium, on an initial 6 month contract.

As a Cloud Automation Developer, you will take up a role in a DevOps team. You have ownership in the implementation and maintenance of the data center tooling landscape. You focus on automating service delivery and providing means for easy and low cost operations.

This includes the specific following tasks and responsibilities:
1. Development and support on their CMDB & Automation engine
2. Analysis & development for datacenter automation projects
3. Development & operational support on their external world interface

Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Master Computer Science or equivalent by experience
- High maturity in unit testing and testing perspectives in general
- Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, PrimeFaces
- SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL etc.)
- Adobe Flex, ActionScript
- Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP
- WebServices: SOAP, REST, JSON
- Linux (RedHat)
- Tomcat, Apache, JBOSS suite
- Agile development & Scrum principles
- SVN, GitLab source control
- JIRA
- CI/CD methodology and tooling experience (Jenkins)
- Knowledge of typical data center related technologies (TCP/IP, networking, security, virtualisation, storage, systems, monitoring)
- You take initiative and systematically drive for results
- You are a team player
- You are able to meet and exceed customers' expectations (internal or external)
- You are able to inform your customers/colleagues timely and efficiently
- You manage your time and project planning efficiently
- You are able to learn quickly
- You MUST speak fluent English
- Fluent Dutch and/or French language skills are also beneficial.

This is initially a 6 month contract, however extensions are expected.
