A leading global company is currently seeking a senior Cloud Architect with a breadth and depth of experience deploying enterprise solutions across a number of cloud technologies. Reporting to the director of Global Architecture, the successful candidate will join the London-based EMEA Technical Architecture team whist working on technical Cloud strategy, the implementation of new SOA based product offerings and aiding with the evolution of existing product offerings.

Do you have demonstrable success and experience in delivering Cloud services end-to-end, from requirements gathering and design, through to launch and on-going maintenance and have a strong infrastructure background?

Candidate Requirements:

* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
* At least 7 years IT experience in an infrastructure support and architecture role, or equivalent consulting experience working on service orientated solutions;
* A strong understanding of infrastructure architecture principles;
* A demonstrable working knowledge of the following:

* Current IaaS/PaaS offerings (public and private);
* Current storage and storage transport technologies (ideally with experience around distributed storage);
* Current web technologies such as HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, WebSockets, etc;
* Current database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle (and ideally experience with NoSQL/BigData solutions such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB);
* Fundamental network technologies such as TCP/IP multicast;
* System Administration in both Linux and Windows;
* Operational practices such as ITIL and their significance;
* Modern application and system monitoring and trending tools;

* A fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle;
* Comfortable and capable at writing scripts to automate infrastructure related tasks;
* Experience leveraging public cloud services atop a traditional on-premise enterprise solution;
