Close Out Engineer - Substation Design

Close Out Engineer In this role you will have overall responsibility for the complete tail end, close out issues involving the content of High Voltage Substation projects. The Close Out Engineer will require someone from a multi-discipline engineering background who has been heavily involved with the complete life cycle of substation design, installation and commissioning. Closing out the built drawings, snagging and final stages is what the role will involve. You will be involved in : Final technical details for main and auxiliary plant application to support the procurement process. Documentation encompassing primary, secondary and civil elements of the project to the Client. Snagging of any issues regarding substation. The Person You will possess a Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline. You will have proven experience within the electrical power transmission industry and have familiarity with its standards, practices and procedures. You will also have a good understanding of the High Voltage Systems business environment and commercial awareness. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work both within a project team environment and on your own initiative. Clarity, attention to detail, possession of decision-making abilities and the capability to multi-task are key skills for this role.
