I AM LOOKING TO HIRE A CLINICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD FOR OUR PUBLIC/HEALTH SECTOR CLIENT

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Clinical Quality Assurance Lead including Patient Safety is responsible for leading quality and safety work across their PoDs and in partnership with local and national stakeholders to ensure that robust quality measures are in place across all commissioned services.
- Provide effective operational leadership and expertise to the safety and risk team or the clinical expert team.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships, communication, co-operation and engagement with internal and external stakeholders (clinical and non-clinical).
- Provide expert advice and support on quality and safety aspects to the CCGs across the 3 Pods.
- Negotiate with external organisations over highly sensitive and contentious specific issues, requiring excellent knowledge of SLAs and contract monitoring technicalities.
- To provide scrutiny and challenge of highly complex, technical and sensitive clinical and non-clinical information.
- Receive and produce highly complex quality reports for a variety of audiences.
- Working with the communications team ensure that local and healthcare media are proactively engaged in promoting and supporting the Quality and Safety agenda and managing the media response to sensitive and contentious Quality and Safety issues.
- Contribute to clinical networks across the CSU that drive service change.
- Analyse highly complex key performance indicator data from a range of sources and make recommendations regarding strategy and policy development and assurance.
- Analyse complex information from surveys, audits, reviews and investigations and work with performance and commissioning colleagues to develop and implement monitoring systems for improving Quality & Safety.
- Interpret and assess the relevance of national policy and guidance, provide support to executive and clinical executive teams regarding implementation and evaluation.
- Plan and organise projects and complex activities in relation to implementing the short and medium-term Quality,

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Managing Clinical Governance or risk within a large/complex Healthcare organisation at a senior management level of SI management.
- Presenting information to the Board and its committees.
- Chairing multi professional committees/networks.
- Management of staff and effective leadership and development of teams.
- Working on project teams/committees with multi- disciplinary membership.
- Extensive knowledge of quality and patient safety, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
- Current clinical professional registration.
