Clinical Project Manager Job

CLINICAL PROJECT MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in GAITHERSBURG, MD.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Operations Lead is responsible for the management and co-ordination of External Scientific Research projects within a region, institution and/or therapeutic area. This role interfaces across the External Scientific Research Operations (ESRO) function, MCs and external organizations (eg PI and/or Institutions) to ensure adherence to all relevant policies, processes and procedures.
- Acts as the first point of contact for MC operational research enquiries, ensuring that proposal guidelines and standards are met, escalating the proposal as appropriate to the relevant TA director
- Supports the review of External Scientific Research (ESR) proposals to enable a consistent, high quality approach to evaluation eg gathering required data from MC
- Coordinates complex external research in conjunction with MC, overseeing Medical Affairs specialists and/or study management specialists to ensure compliance with project management guidelines, external regulations and internal processes to enable high quality research projects. This includes overseeing the launch of new clinical trials
- Leads the project management of complex joint research projects ensuring compliance with project management guidelines, external regulations and internal processes to enable the delivery of high quality Investigator Sponsored Research and Collaborative Research. This includes co-ordination of resource identification and allocation, overseeing the launch of new clinical trials and the initiation/maintenance of supplier contracts
- Revises all project planning in light of changing needs and requirements to ensure that deliverables continue to be efficiently and effectively met and continued compliance
- Lead effective collaboration and communications between Global stakeholders, MC and external partners to enable high quality research projects
- Monitors all project time, cost and quality KPIs, taking corrective action as required to ensure that project targets are met
- Oversees the development of final research evaluation reports, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines and fit for publication
- Supports the development of training on the External Scientific Research Global Standard, Procedures and templates to ensure successful implementation and compliance
- Delivers training on the External Scientific Research Global Standard, Procedures and templates to MCs and investigator sites as applicable to ensure successful implementation and compliance
- Represents ESRO to external partners eg PI and/or institutions as required to promote opportunities and/or provide project guidance

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree within a scientific or healthcare field or significant and comparable experience
- Project Management qualification or significant and comparable experience

Minimally five (5) years experience in global pharmaceutical management.
- Strong clinical operations skills, with abilities to manage large multi country externally sponsored scientific research studies (ISS).
- Key capabilities to include study, budget, and program management for a portfolio of projects in the role of global oversight.
- Strong leadership and business acumen capabilities as will engage with therapeutic compound leaders.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry ideally working within a clinical study/development field
- Experience and knowledge of the clinical study and drug development processes and relevant guidelines eg GCP/ICH for a specific therapeutic and geographical area
