Clinical Primary Care Terminology Expert; West Midlands; 3 months; £300/day

My client, a well-known Public Sector organisation, is looking to recruit a Clinical Primary Care Terminology Expert to join their team in the West Midlands on a 3 month contract.

The role will involve providing support to end users of GP clinical systems to support my clients business, clinical and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of GP clinical systems such as SystmOne, Emis Web and Vision as well as a wealth of experience of resolving clinical system issues.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
*To support the systems administration function by ensuring the relevant system reference files are maintained and updated to reflect changes with clinical systems eg support GP practices systems and functionality.
*To continuously monitor the services/functionality provided from the systems with particular regard to system functionality usage, data quality, availability, accuracy and completeness.
*To implement the data quality programmes of work set by the Clinical System Facilitator colleagues ensuring the integrity of data enables accurate information to be produced.
*Carry out complex analysis of GP systems and data and assess the accuracy of practice information, interpret the data and create reports to feedback to the practice staff in an appropriate and non judgemental manner, suggest improvements and agree an action plan appropriate to the practice.
*To work with end users to ensure the most effective and efficient use of the systems through training and awareness sessions.
*Develop practice staff IT skills to widen their knowledge and use of the clinical systems including training key staff to run queries in their practice on a one to one basis.
*To identify and escalate training and development issues for General Practice staff to the Application Team Manager
*To liaise with all parties' analysis service in extracting, analysing and feed back quality clinical data to the practice.

Key Knowledge and Skills:
*Working knowledge of GP clinical systems - SystmOne, Emis Web and Vision
*Experience of assisting practices with data quality issues and resolving clinical systems issues
*Experience of providing clinical application support to practices during clinical systems migrations
*Ability to create searches, reports and templates in SystmOne, Emis Web and VisionT3 years delivery of GP Practice Clinical System support with involvement in Data Quality programmes
*Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Products; Experience of delivery of Data Quality Programmes and Primis search methodologies in GP Primary Care
*Previous experience of office administration or working in a GP Surgery environment
*Experience of software testing and supporting GP practices with significant changes with their clinical systems Experience of implementing data quality action plans
