Job Title: Clinical Nurse Prescriber

Location: Lowdham, Nottingham

Salary: 38,000-42,000 per annum (Negotiable)

Hours: 8.30-6.00pm

Serco Health is looking to recruit for a Clinical Nurse Prescriber based at HMP Lowdham to work within professional boundaries, to provide care for the presenting prisoner from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. As a Clinical Nurse Prescriber will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for all prisoners on Substitute Prescribing. The Clinical Nurse Prescriber will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process and work collaboratively with the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Team (IDAT) to meet the needs of prisoners, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership to all clinical members of the team.

Essential Skills & Qualifcation

* UK registered Nurse with significant post registration experience
* Nurse Practitioner qualification (desirable)
* Nurse Prescriber qualification (essential) - Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care
* Ability to direct and co-ordinate treatment autonomously and collaboratively
* Understanding of the roles, values, procedures and standards of a substitute prescribing service
* Supervision skills
* Evidence of experience in embracing and implementing change to provide high quality -
* Communication skills- both verbally and in writing at all levels
* IT systems skills
* Custodial experience (desirable)
