Clinical Data Manager Job

CLINICAL DATA MANAGER (BUSINESS STEWARD) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Gather requirements for new data sources
- Profile the data against the requirements as well as existing data sources to identify data quality gaps
- Identify business rules/transformations that can be applied to correct data quality issues and ensure consistency of integrated data sources
- Develop, track and publish metrics to include ensuring baselines are capture for ongoing quality monitoring
- Help develop and track metrics for standards created and added to Standards Repository
- Assist in the development and implementation and tracking the use of standardized terms
- Field and record level data quality measures (consistency, accuracy, etc)
- Maintain a close relationship with all SME across the enterprise for assistance on quality actions.
- Participate on the standards development team and in some of the sub-groups.
- Participate in key Clinical Operations business initiatives from a data quality level
- Implement continuous improvement activities for assigned projects.
- Accountable for the data life cycle and issues management
- Improve data quality through analysis and implementation/remediation of enterprise data quality issues
- Communication to stakeholders of data management needs and issues
- Central collection, analysis and management of data quality issues and solutions
- Provide coordination of cross-functional request and issues
- Monitor progress toward issue resolution and collect and evaluate metrics on data quality issues

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or information management related-field; Higher education in these disciplines is a plus
- Three to ten (3 - 10) years of life sciences industry experience is desired
- Experience in project management roles, particularly in clinical data management, operations or project leadership role
- Experience working in a Clinical Development environment with knowledge in the Clinical Development/Trial life cycle
