Clinical Data Management Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Collaborates and coordinates with others to design and implement clinical protocols and data collection systems. Develops systems for organizing data in order to analyze, identify and report data and trends.
-Develops data quality plans.
-Provides early strategic input into protocol design focused on data management issues. Reviews and resolves data discrepancies for standardized data validation systems and procedures.
-Responsible for projects that have been contracted with contract research organizations as well as internal projects.
-Handles data management issues by reviewing protocols for cross-project consistency and identifying standard case report form modules to meet objectives.

Education and Experience:

Require Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and Masters (MS) or MBA.

Must have at least 5 years of related pharmaceutical industry experience in clinical data management. Will need the ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents along with the ability to effectively present information to internal staff members and top management.

Should have excellent mathematical abilities to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Need ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Microsoft Office experience preferred (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air may be required to attend meetings, out of state site visits, conferences, etc.
