Clinical Cellular Immunologist

DESCRIPTION:
The clinical cellular immunology group supports the growing clinical pipeline by conducting cell based assays to GCLP for Phase I/II clinical trials. Individuals with immunoassay experience are required to join the group to run a variety of cellular immune assays to enable vaccine candidate evaluation in clinical trials. Candidates will have experience in a relevant immunoassay setting, preferably with knowledge and practical experience of cellular immune assays. They will also preferably have experience in working with clinical samples in a regulated environment. Experience in tissue culture techniques and their application to immune cell studies is essential, preferably combined with experience of applying immunoassays. A strong emphasis will also be placed on good team and communication skills as they will be part of a team required to analyze multiple samples in a variety of assays within tight timelines. Initially the role will be heavily focused on supporting the development of cell based assays that meet regulatory requirements; subsequently on conducting these assays on clinical samples The role may also involve management of outsourced clinical sample acquisition. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Masters with at least 1 year of work experience.
Experience in conducting a variety of immunoassays.
Experience in tissue culture techniques.
Detail focused and able to run repetitive assays accurately.
Experience of working in an industrial or academic laboratory with a defined quality system.
