Clinical Auditor

Clinical Auditor - Birmingham - £350 to £450 a day - Immediate Start

The Clinical Auditor will be carrying out auditing of the functional assessment reports from the Disability Assessors. This contract requires a high degree of clinical audit stringency to meet the requirements laid out in the DWP's PIP Guidance document.

You will be required to adhere to strict guidelines and audit a volume of reports each day in accordance with agreed service level agreements.

Duties - * Undertake clinical audit of PIP assessment reports with reference to defined DWP criteria.
* Provide constructive impartial recommendations to health professionals to ensure that amended reports are fit for purpose.
* Support and mentor new auditors coming out of training.
* Maintain requisite knowledge and skill level with regard to the PIP audit process.
* Undergo internal audit ("check the checker") to ensure consistent high standard of audit reports.
* Maintain and evidence personal CPD and ensure continue professional registration
* Your audit will focus on ensuring that reports produced by Disability Assessors are of high quality both in terms of presentation and content and that all procedures have been followed and any advice or opinion is evidence-based and justified.

Essential Experience and Skills - * You will have worked in clinical audit or clinical role where functional assessment was part of the role or other audit environment.
* Have some degree of Medico experience
* You must evidence the ability and experience to assess a complex clinical document against set criteria and give impartial independent advice based on these findings
* You will be a qualified Health Professional with appropriate registration with GMC, NMC, HCPC and a minimum of 2 years post registration experience.
