Our Central Government Client require a CLAS Consultant to provides Accreditation services for the MOD, related Agencies and Industry delivery partners. Due to the urgent nature of the role you must hold valid DV or SC clearance.

Location: Huntington or Corsham

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of Accreditation is to provide an independent assessment that an information system meets its IA requirements and that the residual risks, in the context of the business requirement, are acceptable to the business.

1. Act as an impartial assessor of the risks that an information system may be exposed to in the course of meeting the business requirement and to formally accredit that system on behalf of the MOD SIRO.
2. To ensure the accreditation process meets requirements of JSP 440 and HMG IA Standards No. 1/2

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Carry out reviews and provide subsequent reports and recommendations on DSAS Targets of Accreditation that do not currently have an assigned Accreditor.
2. Carry out reviews on DSAS Targets of Accreditation where the accreditation status has expired making recommendations on a get well plan for those projects.
3. Acts as a conduit between the Accreditor and project team to ensure points of clarification are submitted and presented in a way that enables risk decisions to be made
4. Investigate Privacy Impact Analysis requirements where there is incomplete information within the DSAS database.
5. Investigate prioritisation data where there is incomplete information within the DSAS Database

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

EXPECTED SKILLS AND COMPETENCES:

1. Developed Vetting for the period of the contract is preferred but SC will be considered.
2. Accreditation under the CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS)
3. Knowledge of current security policies applicable to MOD, eg JSP 440 and HMG IA Stds 1 &
4. Knowledge of current Defence Networks, Systems and Platforms.
5. Knowledge of the MOD organisation, procedures and processes.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
