Claims Intake Supervisor - 1 year Contract

CLAIMS INTAKE SUPERVISOR

DESCRIPTION:

Staff currently working in the Dell Diamond system leading a team who process encounter claims as well as provide accumulations for external claims systems. Looking for someone to be able to learn current system/processes and transition to future state Tapestry.
Works on issues of broad scope.
Receives assignments as objectives with the processes necessary to fulfil those goals.
Requires considerable planning and direction setting.
Develops and directs work schedules and monitors work flow to achieve established goals and objectives.
Responsible for recommending changes in guidelines, procedures, and policies.
Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
Follows operational policies in selecting methods and techniques to determine the best solutions.
.Information to solve the problem comes from a variety of sources which may not be readily available.
Involves interpreting and analysing established administrative or technical concepts.
Recognizes linkages and understands impact of individual actions on other parts of the organization and member/customer.
Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
Responsible for directly providing guidance to staff.
Requires knowledge of claims processing and working knowledge of another functional area.

REQUIREMENTS:

Management of Staff - Supervisory (33 remote and in house staff)
Communication skills
Being able to work independently without direction
4 year degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
Requires 3 years management preferably in a claims processing environment and 3 to 5 years in claims processing.
Requires knowledge of claims processing and working knowledge of another functional area.
Requires considerable amount of analysis to consider all alternatives for identified, yet complex problems.
Involves interpreting and analysing established administrative or technical concepts.
Judgment is required to make decisions for less defined issues.
Requires moderately complex decision-making.
