Claims - Customer Service Call Center Representative Job

CUSTOMER SERVICE CLAIMS CALL CENTER REPRESENTATIVE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Alton, IL.

Top Skills Should You Possess:

- ONE (1) PLUS YEARS OF CLAIMS EXPERIENCE.
- Telephone skills-manners along with basic multi tasking skills.
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills and Lotus Notes.
- Must have strong data entry skills.
- Have access to a computer to do testing needed to qualify for this position.
- Be able to retain a lot of information about claims, service contracts and materials covered and be able to communicate that information in a professional manner to the customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Handle claims for customers on several different levels throughout the day.
- Describing and helping customers understand what is and isn't covered on their claims.
- Responsible for addressing customer concerns efficiently and completely via the telephone and correspondence as appropriate.
- The position requires flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings via a possible rotating schedule.
- Document customer contacts and claims, as appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of application, process, water and sewer utility knowledge. Identify and relay to Team Supervisor areas of improvement within the customer inquiry and concern resolution process.
- Able to work in a fast pace phone environment
- Ability to handle difficult calls and avoid escalation whenever possible.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A High School Diploma or GED
- You need to be Team Player, but can work well alone.
- Work ethic is solid- we want people who can be at work on time with no excuses and someone who doesn't miss a lot of days.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior Call Center - customer service experience.
- Past work in a claims, insurance or escalated level call center role.
- Past Plumbing experience- or knowledge of pipes and water connections.
- Knowledge of HVAC or plumbing or water/sewer lines a huge plus.
