CLAIMS CODER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Coding Claims Experience
- Medical Claims Processing Experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Help the Claims Department with preventing errors in the encounter data that is sent to DHCS (California Department of Health Care services and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
- Developing a process of identifying, fixing and preventing the submission of claims submitted with bad data
- Processing medical claims for the Claims Department
- Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5+) years experience in Claims Coding and Medical Claims processing in a healthcare setting
- Managed Care experience preferred
- ICD9 Coding experience
- Working knowledge of billing guidelines for Medicare and Medi-Cal
- Highly skilled and motivated person who can problem solve and work independently
- Attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable in doing research and viewing high volume of claims
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications (especially Excel) and Windows
