Claims Coder Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CLAIMS CODER to join our client in Fairfield, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Claims Coder. This is a full-time, year long contract position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support all claims department coding changes and coding crosswalks
- Communicate required coding changes to providers via written documentation and provider in-services
- Provide ongoing provider education on appropriate coding requirements for billing
- Research, develop and participate in the implementation of a Medicare to Medi-Cal code crosswalk for all CPTs and HCPC codes in the Amisys system
- Review, recommend and maintain all future code changes for the crosswalk
- Develop and maintain provider training material on ICD-9CM/ICD-10CM coding and CPT/HCPC coding

Job Qualifications:

- Certified Professional Coder - CPC or CCS - required
- Expertise in CPT and HCPC procedure coding and ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic coding and medical terminology
- Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software effectively
- Ability to analyze and/or research complex coding issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present coding data in a clear and understandable manner
