Civil Engineer/Graduate

A GLOBAL ENERGY CLIENT OF MINE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A CIVIL ENGINEER/GRADUATE TO JOIN THEM ON A CONTRACT BASIS AT THEIR SITE IN BELGIUM FOR AN INITIAL 12 MONTHS WITH THE VIEW TO EXTEND ON A ROLLING BASIS THEREAFTER.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and comply with the planning and prospects for research performance.
- Drawing up the principles for the design of installations/equipment/works.
- Together with the client and the other developers contribute to the conceptual elaboration of the project.
- Ensure the correct dimensions of installations/equipment/works.
- Provide guidelines to the drawing and calculation team.
- Check the layout and progress of the graphic documents and the summary statements.
- Ensure the preparation and set-up of Design Memoranda, Preliminary Studies, Specifications, Technical Specifications, Advice Memorandum, etc.
- Determine the costs of the researched work.
- Analyse the bids of the Tenderers.
- Check the implementation documents (analysis, advice notes).
- Check the equipment at the factory and on the site.
- Check the work carried out.
- Comply with the Safetyor equivalent by experience;
- Masters degree in a relevant subject
- Industry experience (ideal but not essential) Graduates with a masters degree also considered
- Strong interest in Geology/Hydro-geology
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in French or Dutch
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
