RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain qualifications as a Modification Engineer in order to be fully functional in this position with demonstration / documentation of past qualification as a modification engineer at other nuclear stations acceptable
- Project scope definition, conceptual designs for bidding purposes, provide and develop the engineering design packages or coordination of design efforts with selected A-E firms, technical support for field installation activities and conduct reviews of design products covering a wide range of areas from foundations and site layouts to building and pipe support designs
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering preferred. PE desired but not required
- 5+ years of nuclear design experience to assist in the development of modifications and civil projects associated with Brunswick Nuclear Plant Major Projects Design Engineering Group
- As mentioned, previous experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel and seismic design at nuclear power generating stations
- Current qualification at a nuclear utility as a Modification Engineer under an INPO Accredited Program and knowledge of Passport for design and work order development is highly desirable
- Experience in seismic analysis and the ability to evaluate equipment utilizing the Seismic Qualification Utility Group Guidelines and qualified in that process is highly desired
