Civil Engineer

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking 2 Civil / Structural Engineers for the Harris Nuclear Plant in New Hill, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Per diem and mobilization / demobilization will be available for qualified candidates. There are also 2 openings for Civil Engineers with experience in preparing or reviewing seismic and pipe stress analysis at Robinson Nuclear Plant in Hartsville, SC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Translate project scope and conceptual designs into design packages or coordination of design efforts with selected A / E firms
- Provide technical support for field installation activities and conduct reviews of design products covering a wide range of areas from foundations and site layouts to building and pipe support designs
- Required to pass site access requirements including General Employee Training, Radiation Worker Training, Security Clearance checks and subject to the site's Fitness for Duty Program

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Civil Engineering. PE preferred but not required
- 5+ years of nuclear design experience to assist in the development of modifications and civil projects
- Experience in reinforced concrete and structural design at nuclear generating stations is required
- Ability to obtain qualifications as a Modification Engineer is required in order to be fully functional in this position
- Previous experience in 50.59 Screens and use of Passport is highly desirable
