Civil Engineer

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to assist in the development of modifications and civil projects associated with Brunswick Nuclear Plant Design Engineering Projects Group in Southport, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Per diem and mobilization / demobilization will be available for qualified candidates. Candidates will be required to pass site access requirements including General Employee Training, Radiation Worker Training, Security Clearance checks and subject to the site's Fitness for Duty Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project scope, conceptual designs for bidding purposes, and provide design packages or coordination of design efforts with selected A-E firms
- Technical support for field installation activities
- Conduct reviews of design products covering a wide range of areas from foundations and site layouts to building and pipe support designs

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Civil Engineering. PE is desired
- 5+ years of nuclear design experience
- Experience in reinforced concrete and structural design at nuclear generating stations
- Able to obtain qualifications as a Modification Engineer required in order to be fully functional
- Previous experience in 50.59 Screens and use of Passport is highly desirable
