CONSULTANT - CITRIX XENDESKTOP
BACKGROUND:
The client currently has a Citrix XenApp 5 environment on Windows Server 2008 with approximately 900 simultaneous users. They now want to lift their Citrix environment to XenDesktop 7 on Windows Server 2012 and migrate existing applications and users to the new environment. Around 150 applications delivered via Citrix where about 85 percent of which are virtualized with Microsoft App-V.
A full Citrix environment is virtualized and for the most part on Hyper-V 2012, but a smaller proportion also runs on VMware vSphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a new design for Citrix XenDesktop 7 across two data centers
- Develop a plan of activities to install and migrate the environment
- Install new XenDesktop 7 environment
- Migrating users/clients to the new environment XenDesktop7
- Document and submit to the operation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in previous Citrix XenApp projects and strong knowledge of Citrix infrastructure and preferably also XenDesktop
- Desirable if the consultant has knowledge of the App-V
- The Consultant must be self-sustaining when the bulk of the work will be carried out on their own and reported to the customer
