Citrix Virtualization Engineer Job

CITRIX VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Local to Charlotte
- Citrix Suite (XenApp/XenDesktop/XenServer/NetScaler/EdgeSight)
- Three to five (3-5) years of Supporting Virtualized applications and desktops

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Virtualization Services team is committed to providing value-added services & excellent support for virtualized applications and desktops. Our support landscape currently consists of approximately 5000 users, 2500+ virtualized applications & 1800+ virtual desktops.
- With the demand for virtualization services increasing, we are looking for a highly motivated resource to join the team and help support this dynamic and expanding environment.
- Implementing and Supporting Citrix/Virtualization Infrastructure.
- Packaging, Publishing and Supporting Virtualized Applications & Desktops
- Participation on project teams to design and implement optimal & quality virtualized solutions
- Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation. Rotates ever 8-9 weeks.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Local Charlotte candidate
- Candidates must have a very strong background in Citrix and Other Virtualization Technologies, Windows Server OS, and Windows Desktop OS,
- Excellent Customer Service, Communication and Collaboration skills
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline, and/or equivalent experience in the IT/Citrix support fields
- Strong Working knowledge and hands on experience with Citrix Suite (XenApp/XenDesktop/XenServer/NetScaler/EdgeSight).
- Knowledge in a large geo-dispersed organization is a PLUS.
- Working knowledge and hands on experience with Windows Server OS (2003, 2008, 2008 R2)
- Working knowledge and hands on experience with Windows Desktop OS (XP, Windows 7)
- Working knowledge of other server/Workstation vitalization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Working knowledge and hands on experience with AppSense Environment Manager
