Citrix Engineer

Citrix Engineer wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 5+ years' background in enterprise scale Citrix environments administration like Citrix XenApp 6.5, XenDesktop 5.6, 7.9 and 7.15
- Expertise in logical and physical architectures associated with enterprise level Citrix installations, including implementing and upgrading global environments
- Confidence in managing and troubleshooting virtual machine issues on VMWare ESX 6.5 as well as machines on PVS 7.9
- Excellent knowledge of PowerShell Scripting, in addition PowerCLI skills desirable
- Familiarity with Windows 7 and 10 based VDI issues support
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Supporting NX in maintaining a highly available Citrix XenDesktop environment and resolving environmental issues reported by Citrix users as 3rd level support
- Collaborating with NX Client technologies team for integrating operating system images into VDI
- Ensuring Citrix environment is patched according to Citrix recommendations and monitored to ensure business continuity
- Aligning with colleagues for delivering best possible service to the business
- Maintaining a good knowledge of the latest virtual desktop and virtualizing application industry trends
