Citrix Application Packager and Infrastructure Engineer

The CITRIX PACKAGING ENGINEER will function as a subject matter expert to the Project Manager and the project team and will perform the following Citrix Engineering activities:

- Packaging/Sequencing of Citrix published applications and Microsoft App-V that need to be moved from Legacy Wyeth Citrix infrastructure to the global application publishing infrastructure in support of data center integration and data center closure activity.
- Assist the Citrix Server Engineers to deliver the end-to-end" virtualization process that will be used in the execution phase to move existing Legacy Wyeth Citrix Servers sitting in the L-Wyeth data centers, which are being closed, into the company's global environment.
- Pilot the end-to-end process with a subset of Servers which will be moved as "real world" tests.
- Assist the Citrix infrastructure engineers and the Application Rationalization team to establish a process that will be used to capture relevant application info that will work with the end-to-end process - process feed.
- Assist the Citrix Engineers to deliver an updated project plan.
- Assist the Citrix Project Manager to deliver "Master App List" of all Citrix Servers and the applications running on those Servers.
- Execute the projects within time and budget parameters to a successful completion.

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:

- Five or more years of experience with Citrix Metaframe XP, Presentation Server, and XenApp application hosting technologies, including management consoles, Web Interface and Licensing components, Installation Manager, and Resource Manager
- Five or more years of experience with administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server operating systems
- Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Application Virtualization
- Visual Basic, NT Batch and SQL Scripting, MetaFrame COM, and Windows Management Interface experience required
- HP Server Warranty certification required
- Experience in analysing and troubleshooting issues encompassing a broad range of technologies, including network, database, storage, and security
- Experience in system design and project management
