Cisco Technician (R&S) - Travel Position Job

CISCO TECHNICIAN (R&S) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located near medium to large airports near Dallas, TX Region.

POSSESSION OF A SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance
- Experienced with CISCO Routing & Switching (ASR 1000 Series, 7600 Series)
- Experienced with modifying R&S configurations
- Be able to travel 95% of the time

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for the implementation, testing, modification, and documenting of changes to information system, including Routers, Firewalls, Switches, and Servers in customer facilities.
- Analyzes, documents, and presents field changes required to IT infrastructure systems and/or components.
- Perform device technical functions in support of installation activities such as implementation, operational support, maintenance support, system modification, and troubleshooting.
- Develops, modifies, and controls As-Builts, Wire Run Lists, and red-line drawings/configurations.
- Executes and documents results of Acceptance Test IT systems installed.
- Guides, executes, communicates, and closes out implementation tasks
- Collaborate and participate in enhancing organizational knowledge management environment
- Maintain and grow technical skill/product knowledge in Field Engineering
- Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Cisco Router and Switch experience with particular experience in modifying configurations.
- Router upgrades from 7602 and 7606 to ASR 1006 or 1002. Switch installation 3750.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical/engineering discipline. Combination of equivalent education, technical certifications, or work experience will be considered.
- Two - five (2-5) years of directly related experience to IT Field Installation and Troubleshooting.
- 95% Travel Position to Air Force locations and Air National Guard locations including international travel. Trip Duration is 2-3 week, return home for a few days, depart on next trip.
- Regional Position, will review candidates in the North West United States located near an medium to large airport.
