CISCO SECURITY ENGINEER VIRTUAL LANS- VMWARE ESX, EMC, CISCO NEXUS/ASA & VSG 1000V - CONTRACT, BASEL. Our client, a leading life science company located in Basel, has recently launched a large transformation program of their global infrastructure. One of the work streams is about to put in place the necessary IT Security Foundation which for Swisslinx is urgently seeking a Senior Cisco Security Engineer for the Virtual LAN environment (VMware ESX/Cisco Nexus).
In this urgent contract, you will be reporting to the architect and offer expert advice whilst being responsible for providing functional and detailed solution design & implementation for the IT Security Foundation with a strong focus on best practice virtual network security Masters preferred
- Min. 5 years of experience in designing, engineering and deploying large-scale, virtualized Network CCIE is a plus
- Strong experience in deploying Cisco ASA 1000V and VSG 1000V in a large and complex global environment
- Strong experience in virtual network security and zoning (VLANs) & its security implications
- Certification as Engineer or Expert in VMware ESX, Cisco virtual NEXUS or similar is beneficial
- Experience of working in large, complex and highly regulated (SOX, GxP, etc) infrastructure environments and awareness of the common security challenges and best practice to handle them is a valuable asset
