Cisco Network Engineer
Up to €60 per hour
Near Antwerp, Belgium
3-6 month contract
Our client, a global international leader in their industry, are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join their team on site in Belgium assisting within their connectivity department assisting with our clients infrastructure across the EMEA network. In addition, the network engineer will interface with the other groups to address any issues in order to complete the request or project in a timely manner and have a forward thinking personality with a pro active attitude.
Tools & Platforms:
*Leased Lines, ISDN, Frame Relays, MPLS (QoS)
*Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, IDS, Packeteer, Firewalls, Nortel Connectivity, content engine, load balancers
*HP-OV, Cisco Works, Cisco Secure ACS
*TCP/IP
*EIGRP, BGP
Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
*Development and support of the network environment in EMEA
*High level support to the Network Operation Engineers, Helpdesk and end users
*Creation of standard procedures on behalf of the daily operational environment to offer solutions for problems and actions that can be solved on a routine basis
*Design new infrastructure solutions, and you introduce new applications
*You will work on Projects in which you maintain professional contacts with customers and IT Professionals in order to analyze their needs and transform them into concrete and feasible actions. *On the one hand guarding that these fit the general strategy of the company and on the other hand making sure that the supplied service meets the Service Level Agreements.
Technical profile requirements:
*A broad experience in networking, preferably in large international environments
*Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, IDS, Packeteer, Firewalls, Nortel Connectivity, content engine, load balancers
*HP-OV, Cisco Works, Cisco Secure ACS
*TCP/IP
*EIGRP, BGP
*Technical writing skills to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations
