Cisco Network Engineer
Up to €55 per hour
6 month contract
Near Antwerp, Belgium
One of our leading international clients is currently seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer Professional to join them on client site near Antwerp assisting in the maintenance and compliancy of their standard network architecture. In addition, the network engineer will interface with the other groups to address any issues in order to complete the request or project in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
*Provide written and verbal communication such as procedures and documentation.
*Deliver project solutions to specified requirements on schedule and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies.
*Translate business needs into technical requirements and work with our suppliers and vendors to execute them.
*Apply knowledge of industry and competitive environment in all facets of daily job functions.
*Ensure that security is considered and emphasized in all IM plans and actions.
*Knowledge of ITIL framework- certifications is a plus.
*Must have good teamwork, communication/information sharing and influencing skills.
Previous experience and skills:
*worked before a global organization and has good communication skills (good knowledge of spoken and written English is required).
* is responsible for placing circuit, hardware and software orders for projects and RFS's assigned to him and will ensure that security and quality (QA) requirements are met in all plans and actions.
*Good technical expertise in campus switching and backbone routing is required
*Very good technical expertise in network security, with hands-on experience in security products from major vendors.
*Technical expertise in, Cisco Routers, catalyst and Nexus Switches, F5 LTM and APM devices, Riverbed Steelhead appliances, Juniper VPN Routers.
* Expertise in delivering network services for clients in various network architectures and in different parts of the world.
Qualifications:
*A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
*A minimum of 3+ years of broad IT infrastructure (network) experience, preferably in a large global organization is required.
