Projektbeschreibung

Main Duties: What is the role? Reporting to the Senior Child & Family Support Co-ordinator.
The role is about delivering children's centre service and activities to individuals and groups in a range of venues to meet their needs within the requirements of the Core provision for Children's Centres
Ensuring individuals and groups of families and children are able to access a range of agreed services from different agencies
Supporting parents and families, including supervising parent volunteers and ensuring they are trained, in line with Portsmouth Safeguarding Children's Board requirements.
Keeping accurate records of individual and group work.
Collecting data and submitting by set deadlines and in line with agreed procedures.
Linking to other Children's centres across the City to make the best use of resources and best practice.
To work in partnership with all agencies and service providers to support families, parents and users of services.
To collaborate with providers of training courses and Job Centre Plus so that parents and users may access training courses and information.
Marketing and publicising the services offered by the Children's Centre.
Working with parents and families to find out what they need and to try and ensure the Children's Centres provide the services that they want, subject
ect to these services ultimately contributing to the wellbeing of the child (ren).
Delivering training, supervision and support for Parent volunteers.
Working sensitively within the constraints

Qualification to NVQ Level 3 in childcare, health and social care or equivalent experience.
Experience of services for, and working with individual children and families in Health, Social Care, Education or the Voluntary sector.Excellent interpersonal skills inc empathy, tact, diplomacy and understanding
Awareness of equal opportunities and good understanding of child protection.
Understanding of family relationships and interactions and ideally an awareness of the aims and objectives of the Children's Centre.
